Re: What'S NEW?!

^ you're supposed to give some "new" songs...hence the title of the thread "What's NEW?!"....Hit 'Em Up was released in 1996.

 "Hit 'Em Up" is a diss song by Tupac Shakur, featuring his rap group the Outlawz. It is the B-Side to the 1996 single "How Do U Want It". The song viciously insults several East Coast rappers, chiefly Tupac Shakur's enemy and former friend, The Notorious B.I.G.. "Hit 'Em Up" was produced by long-time collaborator Johnny J and samples "Don't Look Any Further" by Dennis Edwards.

 topic
"Forever" by Chris Brown
"One Step At A Time" by Jordin Sparks
"Teenage Love Affair" by Alicia Keys

Re: What'S NEW?!

These are some of my lame reviews. :wallbash:

Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded/Cry
Artist: Rihanna
Rating:
Cry is a bonus track from the album Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded (Rereleased version of Good Girl Gone Bad). The album contains new songs Like Disturbia, A song that kinda resembles the song Forever by Chris Brown. What do you expect? Chris Brown is one of the song writers of Disturbia. Also. The song Take A Bow can be found the album. Anyway. Enough with the spoilers. Cry is a song by Rihanna. The song resembles Unfaithful (From A Girl Like Me Album). The big difference though was the unique Keyboard Play (Piano). It really caught my attention. The lyrical content was kinda sad though. It's about a breakup. She said, You will never see her cry meaning, She's trying her best to coup up with the breakup (lol). Anyway in general. The song is kinda like the opposite of Take A Bow in terms of lyrical content. Anyway. I'll give the song a solid 5 star rate. If you want to listen to the song. Click the "Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded/Cry" above.

Casely Featuring Flo Rida/Emotional Remix
Artist: Casely Featuring Flo Rida
Rating:
Emotional Remix is a collaboration between Casely and Flo Rida. The song was an upbeat sensation. The lyrical content was very catchy and the beat has good rhythm. Like most RnB/Hip-Hop. The song was about girls. Anyway. I'll rate the song five stars. If you're interested about the song I mentioned. Click the "Casely Featuring Flo Rida/Emotional Remix" above.

Re: What'S NEW?!

thanks for that kuya Ephe. =) i added that on my playlist,

No Matter What
Artist : T.I
Rating:

"No Matter What" is a song by American rapper T.I. and lead single from Paper Trail in which T.I. stands tall and shows strength in the face of adversity.

In an interview with MTV, T.I. addresses the content of the song, saying that the song is not completely a diss track toward Shawty Lo, despite recent accusations. "I was speaking on people who took shots at me when I was down," he said. "I would say I recorded it probably around the holidays or January, something like that, That was when the hate was real fresh and I was counted out by most."

"No Matter What" is produced by Timbaland protege Danja Handz.

In case you want to watch the music video of this song, Well, here it is,.

Re: What'S NEW?!

^ I guess you meant Boyce Avenue..a good cover band =)

HERE ARE SOME ARTISTS THAT ARE WORTH LISTENING TO :eh:

Artist:
The Material

Music Genre: Alternative / Rock / Post Punk
Rating: 9 / 10
Description:

Catchy, clever, and LOUD, The Material is a 5-piece, female-fronted rock ensemble whose combination of alternative, post-punk and super poppy female vocals have thrust them into the national spotlight. The quintet hails from sunny San Diego, California. Colleen D'Agostino (vocals) moved to San Diego to pursue a music degree. In her third year at San Diego State University, she began playing with Jon Moreaux (guitar) and Noah Vowles (drums). The threesome added bassist Kevin Falk, formerly of Every Time I Die and Between the Buried and Me, and started writing songs for their first demo. Falk was replaced by Brian Miller (bass) and Roi Elam (guitar) joined shortly after. With their permanent line up in place, The Material went into the studio to record their 6- song debut EP Tomorrow with local punk producer Brian Grider. To support the EP, which features such sweet-voiced, searing fuzz anthems as "Long Way Home" and "Moving To Seattle," The Material hit the road in November for a three-month tour of the West Coast. If early response to their intense live show is any indication, they have a lot to look forward to in 2008.

Song Sample:
"Moving To Seattle"

Artist:
Linden (If you love "Cartel" you'll love this Female Fronted Band)

Music Genre: Pop / Rock
Rating: 9 / 10
Description:

Linden is a pop/rock band from Menomonie, WI that strives to deliver a catchy, fresh, & enjoyable sound to all that listen. We frequently perform around the Minneapolis, MN area and will begin a heavier show schedule in the summer months.

Song Sample: "In and Out"

Artist: Bandarazzi / A Cursive Memory

Music Genre: Alternative / Rock / Pop

Rating: 8 / 10
Description:

Anyone who believes that age in years is instrumental for a successful band hasn’t met California foursome A Cursive Memory. Formed while the members were still in 8th grade, ACM may not have the advantage of actual age, but their five-plus years of experience as a band has transformed them from a collection of four students churning out cover songs at friends’ birthday parties to a solid outfit that makes music with conscious intent and practice. Although the band wasn’t started with the objective of transforming a fun high school endeavor into a serious career path, things started rolling quickly in that direction by the time the members reached 10th grade and became the first addition to powerhouse media company Bunim Murray’s management roster thanks to the random profile jump tool on PureVolume.com.

Video Sample: "Everything" (A Must Watch - Really Funny)

Artist:
The Scenic

Music Genre: Indie / Pop / Rock
Rating: 8 / 10
Description:

With a series of impressive accolades under their belt, it was only a matter of time before Victory Records put pen to paper and invested in THE SCENIC's breezy spin on current pop-rock. The band had already appeared twice on MTVU, been featured in Alternative Press, and shared stages with heavy-hitters such as Saves the Day and the 2007 Warped Tour, and these credits weren't without notice. Their infectious brand of unpretentious melodies had captured the attention of nearly everyone with an ear for genuine talent. Armed with a barrage of demos that would easily translate into studio-ready gems, THE SCENIC began to lay down the foundation that would become Find Yourself Here.

Song Sample: "Not Enough To Love"

Artist:
John Nathaniel

Music Genre: Rock / Pop / Acoustic
Rating: 9 / 10
Description:

His name is John Nathaniel, a singer/songwriter/producer as you may have noticed. An indie artist, To him it's indie in a way that he's kind of a “do it yourself person”. He owns a recording studio where he's a producer and that’s where he records all his songs. He also plays the guitar, piano, bass and a bit of drums! He also writes his own lyrics and composes his own music and arrangements and obviously does the singing too

Song Sample: "Realize" (Colbie Cailat Cover)

Artist:
Phil Schawel

Music Genre: Christian / Rock / Pop
Rating: 9 / 10
Description:

"I want to give my talents back to God. And through worship music i can do that. My music carries a simple message of Gods awesome power, love and grace. I would love to hear what ya'll think!" - Phil (You can watch and listen to all his cool paramore covers on Youtube)

Song Sample: "We Are Broken" (Paramore Cover)
