Multiply headers/banner don't allow gif images? Because i tried it once and only a white image appear.

uh. how do you make the box thingy? ) i don't know how to explain. i'm so new at all of this.

oh ok.. so.. first of all.. learn to follow the instructions when using premade multiply layouts.
the instructions say that you need to be using mykonos theme as the base for that layout.
ok. i'll teach you step by step. so just follow 
1. LOG IN
2. MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOGGED IN
3. CLICK THIS LINK >>> http://multiply.com/setup/pages/themes/mykonos
4. CLOSE THAT PAGE AFTER IT LOADS, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR LAYOUT YET
5. CLICK THIS LINK >>> http://multiply.com/setup/pages/upload-css
6. PASTE THE CSS
7. SAVE.
8. TELL ME HOW IT GOES OK?

A CSS question. Im a newbie in tweaking multiply. 
Why is it the colors are only 3 characters(except for the # sign)? Can I use the usual 6 characters just like the ones we used in FS?
