Rules In Multiply Section

USE ENGLISH, ONLY ENGLISH!
This is an international public forum, please do not use language other than English
(except in Regional Boards).

NO STICKY CAPS / ALL CAPS / PROFANITY
Avoid using any foul and offensive words, ALL CAPS, sTiCkY cApS when posting.

NO SPAMMING & FLAMMING
We can't tolerate spamming and flamming any form.
Note that 'double-posting' is also spamming.

DO NOT START A NEW THREAD IF YOU ARE ONLY ASKING QUESTION OR LOOKING FOR HELP
Post your question here: Multiply Help Thread

quoted from eehjay's post in Friendster T&T

Everyday we can see members' name in every new posts in this forum section. And if we check their every new posts, they're all the same such as 'Thanks!', 'Nice codes, thanks!', 'Thanks for sharing!', etc.

    Come on? These guys can also be called as spammers. We all know that they are only trying to increase their total post counts. They're not really giving compliments on the code contributors. They're being rude.

    To avoid some confusion and arguments, these are some samples of being not too obvious spammer:

        For example, member: 'mynameis' has 5 new posts in 5 topics in this forum section. Almost all of his new posts are the same, 'great code!', 'thank you for sharing!', 'nice code', 'cool trick!', 'good work' This member 'mynameis' did not even gave some good feedback or comment about those tricks, probably did not even read the topic.

    On the other hand, the proper way of giving compliment is that your post is relevant or has some information or feedback about that particular trick.

        For example, member: 'coolmember' has 3 new posts in 3 topics in this forum section. This member's posts contains, 'cool effects! i like the colors!', 'nice trick! i really like the scrolling thingy', 'wow! cool! it has some small faults but its alright' This member read and analyzed the topic before posting a comment.

    We will not tolerate this kind of behavior.

:idea: Other rules are exactly the same from Friendster Tricks & Tutorials =)

1) Avoid! posting other's work without any permission (It's Stealing!)

2) Make sure that  the codes are working. (with live preview)

3) If ever you copy a certain code, Please include the link, credits, or the permission of the original author as much as possible.
Example:

Code for Removing Ads in Multiply
Code:

/*hide ads*/
.railbody iframe,
#maincontent iframe {display:none!Important;visibility:hidden!important}

Credits to: :arrow: name of the author
or
Credits to: :arrow: dynamicdrive.com

4) Specify your topic title. Make sure the title suits the topic.

5) Avoid one liner coment such as, (nice, thanks, bad, good etc...,) This can be distinguish as spam

6) Replies must be relevant to the topic specified. If not the post will be deleted if not edited within 24 Hours after posting.

7) Do not post codes that are already been given. If you have an alternative code for that, reply in the same thread with your other code then the moderator or the thread starter will be the one to include the alternate code in the first post.

8) In posting a code use a Code Tag.

Code:

p, tr { color:#ffffff }

9) Avoid using quote tags if not needed

10) All Rule Breakers that doesn't abide with these simple rules will be given a Cursed Status

11) Avoid Post Fighting or ELSE^

12) Do not post anything unrelated to this Thread Category, Thus if that happens topic will be moved to proper Thread Category with or W/O warning.

13) If you haven't seen the Main Forum Guidelines Click Here

Exceptions in double posting.

    admin wrote:

    Double posting literally means posting the same information twice. This also refers to when a member posting twice in a row without another user's post separating the two.

    It is considered more proper to edit your previous post to include the new comments instead of creating a new post. The problem with this can be that readers who have already read the original post may miss the information that was edited in.

    I think it depends on the context whether double posting in a thread is okay or not.
    For example:

    Not OK: Double posting in close time interval
    Not OK: Double posting the exact same message
    OK: Double posting in longer time interval (separated in few hours or even days)
    OK: Double posting, each with lengthy message, with totally different content, or refer to different members, etc.

    Do you have other opinion about this?

All those found guilty as charge in causing mayhem and mischievous activities  in our small forum shall be "BANNED" in our forum so be wise in posting (Banning shall be noted by sir "Admin")  =)
