Chapter 4: Pink Stuff

(sigh) Si Migs. Si Migs nga. So I saved his number.

To: Migs
Message: Ohh…Migs, so how are you na? It’s been a long time since nung last na nakapag-usap tayo ah.

Sender: Migs
Message: Eto okay parin. Ikaw? Oo nga eh, ikaw kasi. Haha. Joke.

To: Migs
Message: Okay naman, anu pa ba ieexpect mong sagot dba?

Sender: Migs
Message: Na ako parin.

To: Migs
Message: Huh? Hindi ko gets. Ui, wla na akong unli. Next time nalang ulit. Tc,

    Our conversation ended there. Wala akong nafeel na kahit ano, or any come back of the feelings I had for him before. I knew why. But I was just shocked when after few minutes, nagreply siya.

Sender: Migs
Message: Triss… I have loved you… and I still do… Hope you’ll forgive me on what I  have done before.. You know how much I cared for you, and how much I loved you. I just want you to know na walang nagbago, na ikaw parin, na hindi ko kaya na wala ka… Ayo slang kahit hindi ka maniwala kasi alam ko naming sira na ang tiwala mo sakin. Pero, I believe that everybody deserves second chances. Ingat ka lagi. Ily.

    Obviously, hindi ko siya nireplyan. Ayoko. Hindi ko alam kung anu isasagot ko. Besdies, wala akong dapat isagot. Tapos na yun eh. Si Carl ang importante ngayon.

Okay… I must accept the fact na nag-iba na talaga si Carl sakin ngayon. Ibang iba. Tahimik lang siya sa room, pag may activities lang siya mejo nag-iingay. Pero hindi na gaya ng dati na, ako lagi niya kausap at kadaldalan. Ang hirap kasi seatmates lang kami, tapos ganun pa. Lahat nanibago sa kanya. Lahat.

I decided to write him a letter, and here it goes:

“Carl, I dunno what’s really happening with you right now. Everything has changed. Naninibago ako sayo. Kung may problem ka, you can open it up, handa akong makinig. Ang hirap kasing nakikita kitang ganyan araw-araw. Please, tell me, if you don’t mind. Concerned lang ako sayo…. Ayoko ring -------------- mawala sa tabi mo….”

For 3 hours, pinag-isipan ko kung ibibigay ko ba talaga sa kanya yan. Kasi baka naman isipin niya, nagffeeling close ako diba. Pero binigay ko rin. Inipit ko sa Bio niya. Sana lang Makita niya.

Lunch break. Nagulat ako nung may nagtakip ng mata ko from my back.

“Triss, can we talk?”

Who the hell is this? Well, the voice is familiar. May kutob na ako kung sino siya. So I nodded.

Si Carl nga.

“Yes Carl?” with a sad look and teary eyes.
“Triss, sorry.” And he gave me a small pink stuff.
“What’s this for?”
“Para sa mga pagkukulang ko sayo this past few days. Gulong gulo lang kasi ako eh. Sana maintindihan mo.”
“Salamat sa stuff na toh..” a tear fell in my eye.
“Oh, Triss, bakit ka umiiyak?”
“Wala, natouch lang ako….”
“Ikaw talaga. Btw, may itatanong sana ako sayo….”
“Anu yun?”







“Triss, can I be one of your admirer?”
