Carl's POV

Para sakin ba talga ung message na yun? Sino naman kaya yung bago? Hayyy. Mahriap umasa. I’d better ask her.

    Message: Awwwww. Sino naman yung bago?

    Kasesend ko palang. Ang lakas ng loob ko. Sagutin niya sana ng honest ang tanong ko.

    Sender: Triss <3
    Message: Ayoko pa magsalita eh. Sorry Carl, kasi gusto ko pa makasigurado muna..

    Tama naman sinagot ko sa knya diba. Hay ewan. Sa totoo lang kasi, gusting gusto ko nang aminins a kanya na siya na. kaso, natatakot ako. We’d better know each other well muna naun. Kahit na sabihin mong close na talga kami, iba parin ang mas matagal na friendship.

    Migs. Migs. Migs. Bakit ka pa ba kasi bumalik? I’m almost over you. Almost. Peroooo kasii iba parin eh. First love kita. And I believe na hndi nawawala ang love mo sa 1st love mo. I can’t change the fact na gusto parin kita makasama. Pero, hay ewan. Nag hirap. Ang gulo ko. Pabago-bago isip ko each day.

    *doorbell*
    May tao? Sino naman magpupunta dtio ng ganitong oras? Nakoo naman.

    I opened the door, and I’ve seen Migs. Wth is he doing here?! Hay nakoo.

    “Triss, good evening“ he said.
   
He’s all wet. Umuulan na pala. E bakit pa toh pumunta dito?

    “Oh, basing-basa ka ah. Pasok ka nga. Bakit ka napunta? Gabi na ah?”
    “Naabutan kasi ako ng ulan. I came here to see you.”
    “Ah, eh. Sige, halika na. Pasok.”

    We entered the house, pinaupo ko muna siya sa sofa ang I get him a towel and a hot chocolate.

    “Baka lagnatin ka pa niyan? Pasaway ka talaga.”

    Hndi siya nagsalita, he just stared at me.

    “O, anu nangyari sayo? Matutunaw ako niyan.”
    “Ay, sorry. Namiss lang talaga kita.”
    “Miss you too. ^^.”
    “I wish I never let you go” he whispered.
    “May sinasabi ka?”
    “Ah wala. Who’s the guy with you? Alam mo na.”
    “Ah siya, bestfriend and seatmate ko.”
    “Mahal mo?”
    “Huh?Anu ba pinagsasabi mo?Ayiieh. Kaw talaga, selos? Hahah. Joke” I tried joking around kasi, masyado siyang seryoso.
    “Oo.” Ang he hugged me.

    Amp. 2 hugs for a day??? Too much. Wahhhh.. His hug… The one I loved before, and the one I missed the most.. ( Unconsciously, a tear fell from my eye.

    “Ei, what’s the prob? What’s that tear for?” he asked. Kahit basing basa siya, nafeel parin niya ung pumatak na luha.
    “Never mind. I just missed being with you… “
    “ Would you allow me to court you again?”
    “Yes? No? I don’t know. I’m confused this time. Naguguluhan talaga akooo..”

    Take note. Magakayakap kaming nag-uusap dito. Ang bilis ng heartbeat ko, may pumapatak paring luha sa mata ko.

    “Dahil ba sa kanya?”
    “Kay Carl? Oo. To be honest . . .”
    “Wag ka muna magsalita.. For a minute, gusto kong maramdaman na yakap nga talaga kita..”

    Haaaaayyyyyyyy… He has changed, A LOT. Naging sweet siya lalo, and he’s a better man now. Hindi ko akalaing ganito kalaki ang magiging pagbabago niya.





    “Once, I had the chance to be with you, but we’re too young that time, so I’ve been a fool that I let you go.. Now, you’re giving me another chance to have you back, I promise you, I won’t make you cry and won’t leave you all alone..”

CHAPTER 8: The red paper

Anu kaya nagtulak sa kanya para magkaroon ng ganitong kalaking change sa kilos niya? Whatever it is, siguro d na importante yun. Ang mahalaga sakin, andito siya ngaun.

    Finally, bumitaw narin kami sa  isa’t-isa.. Naloka ako dun.. Pero, one thing is, I can’t prevent my tears to fall from my eyes, and I can’t help my heart to fall for him the second time around. Pero pano na si Carl ko, I mean, si Carl? I can’t deny the fact na mahalaga siya sakin. Ang hindi ko maintindihan ngayon ay kung sino ba talaga. Sino?

    “Oi Triss, natulala ka naman.. May iniisip?”

    Oo nga noh, d ko napansing nakatitig lang ako sa kanya.

    “Sorry. Sorry. Late na ah, baka hinahanap ka na sa inyo..”
    “Wala akong pakialam.. Ikaw ang gusto ko..”
    “P-pero, anu ka baaaaa! Ako naman malilintikan sa mommy ko..”
    “Hahaha. I miss that face, sige na nga, una na ako.. Salamat..”
    “Eto payong, baka mabasa ka ulit eh. Upakan kita pag nagpaulan ka ulit.”
   
    We looked at each other’s eyes for some time, he gave me a red paper folded into pieces, and waved goodbye. I went upstairs afterwards.

    Habang paakyat, I’ve opened the paper .. And here it goes:

    Wow naman. Parang feel na feel at alam na alam na niya na I’ll be giving him a chance..

    “We were as one babe, for a moment in time.. And it seemed everlasting, that you…” my phone’s ringing!!!Someone’s calling? Sino naman kaya un?

    I went inside my room and picked up my phone. OMG. 10 missed calls from Carl. I forgot, katext ko xa kanina.. I’ve browsed on my inbox, and I’ve seen his messages, saying, “Aus lang sakin un, hindi ko nalang iisipin”; “Triss d ka na nagrep? Okay ka lang ba?”; and so on.. Flooded ako ng mssges niya. Pero sounds weird, ayoko siyang replyan. Ang sama ko…

    Saturday. Ang saya, weekends na ulit?  Masaya nga ba? Ay ewan. I went outside my room, nagulat ako, may flowers sa pinto. Kanino naman kaya galing toh? So, I picked it up, and read the note.. “To our dearest daughter, happy birthday.. Love you.. –mom&dad”

    Anu ba ngaun? September 11 na ba..? Errr. Ou nga noh? Hndi ko namalayan, bday ko na pla..? hayyy. Sad..? Happy? Ewan..

    Bumaba ako sa kitchen, No one’s around. Nasan naman kaya ang mga tao dito ngaun? I looked around the house, wala talaga. Ang tangin nilalang na nakita ko lang eh ung aso naming na nasa living room.. Until I went outside the house..

    “O, Carl? Anu ginagawa mo dito?”
    “Wala lang Triss.. Dinadalaw lang kita. Can we go out..?”
    “Saan tayo pupunta?”
    “kahit saan, don’t worry, treat ko naman eh.. ”
    “Ah-eh, sige,. Pero can you wait? Maliligo lang ako..”
    “Sure, no prob”

    Ganda ng timing niya.. bday ko.. Pero, hndi niya ako binati..
