I'm really not sure if I'm posting on the right thread, I just posted it here coz it may somehow be of the same concern, which is hacking...
anyway, i recieved this message later this afternoon and i was testing it using my test account.. i don't really know what to do with it coz i'm afraid that this would really be true...
furthermore, the message read something about using a script which could be used as hacking... And as i noticed, it was some sort of a scam. here are the photo images of the message i recieved:

@wedzmer yes, that is scamming. i already encountered like one before. i had one friend who were scamming for the password of an online game. he used the same method as your scammer. unfortunately we can not do anything about it. you may report it for friendster if you want.

Long before, hacking is legal. Hacking is used to find any loopholes and errors in a system. Then eventually some of those abused it and then it became prohibited.

LOL! Of course it will work. There are heaps of people who are not so keen on details. They ignore the small details like reading the sender etc etc. They are vulnerable to be fooled.
Anyway why are you so interested? Are you going to do the same as him? It's up to you but you will be easy to track down. They won't tolerate hacking and scamming.

hey...i experienced something like that..i didn't know this yet...while i was doing something in my customize page,i clicked save and then friendster suddenly wants to log me in...of course i didn't know what else to do so i logged in!!...i didn't check the url....coz i didn't know all of these!!...i hope nothings gonna happen to my precious fs account..i worked hard to what i am now...i have lots of friends who added me...

no... i don't have plans to do so actually... i'm just really overwhelmed to the fact that this is really possible without even sending them my acct and password... i'm more concerned for other people who doesn't know anything about this and who would really fall for this trap...
if you don't mind, how does this actually work?
knowing the process might somehow help me to drop the sequence and solve it hopefully...

Regarding the YM thing. There's an easy answer...
Use GMail. It is still possible to hack but, at least it's more secure than Yahoo. For myself I only use Yahoo for public contacts.
