When you use this trick your profile is set to onunload right? because if you have goodbye alert and close or open the box the welcome or goodbye alert triggers.

changing the button is simple..
all you need to do is put a style tag inside you input tag..
for example..
<input style='css properties..' and so on.. and so forth..>
