You cant judge him because look what Itachi had done, he killed all his clan to prevent war and Sasuke is very blind of that event because he was just a kid. If you were sasuke and your older brother killed all your clan including your parents , what will be your reaction? Im sure you want to kill also your older brother and Itachi also said why he killed his clan is because he wants to attain the mangekyou sharingan and the real power of sharingan, he did not say that it is because for the safe of everyone.
